Breathwork, the perfect reset

Breathwork is ancient practise, recently being rediscovered in the West as an excellent way to help people calm and reset their nervous systems.

How does it work? By practising specific breathing exercises for prolonged periods of time the vagus nerve is stimulated and the body enters a state similar to that of fight or flight. By experiencing this state within a safe, protective environment, your body is able to release the effects of stress and trauma which can impact on all of us. Combined with immersive sound scapes and guided meditation participants report feeling calmer, more present and find it easier to focus after just one session.

Is it safe? Yes! Safety is paramount in everything we do at Breathe and Be Scotland. Breathwork is a safe practise, and you are always in control. There is no physical risk involved, but the experience can be intense. Before each session we spend time ensuring that everyone participating through breathwork with us feels safe, supported and ready to let themselves experience all that breathwork has to offer
